More ill-informed Tory tripe. Some of those comments are straight from the 'Lord Snooty Handbook on Being A Rich Inbred Bastard'.

Just read this article! What a load of bull. Half the people responding don't even live in this country and those that do are well, in need of a good clip round the ear! If I could afford to buy the Torygraph, I'd stop :d'oh!

Same here. They don't like anyone having a contrary view. The fascist scum. Anyway, nice to see their mate, rich parasite Conrad Black in a spot of bother. Ha, ha!

There's a wonderful reply from a Charles Baxter from Stoke-on-Trent. He claims that unions fighting for workers rights destroyed the industries of the Potteries. As anyone from Stoke can tell you, capitalism, greed and 18 years of Conservative rule and 10 years of a non-socialist Labour government destroyed the Potteries.

For the last remaining years of its life in Stoke, Royal Doulton offered no pay rises at all and gave token extra days off to its workforce.
When the workers demanded strike action in 2002 when one of the remaining two factories was closed down and work sent to Indonesia, the union claimed in the local rag that the workers didn't want it and so didn't ballot. In fact, CATU (the union) at Doulton's AGM voted to send work overseas to "save jobs over in the UK".

We have a strong union in the CWU and Tory filth like the Torygraph will never destroy it!

Good post grubbymitts, my dad worked at Royal Doulton sanitary ware for 40 years and he told me that in the late 70s and 80s skilled pottery workers were sent to indonesia and the far east to train people in them countrys how to do their jobs, at the time they didnt know why they were being sent they just thought it was a free trip while getting paid, just goes to show that management will try any underhanded trick to kick its workforce...UNITY IS STRENGTH.
