Right - who has got the bottle to go on as Postman Pat - and his sidekick the black cat, whose name escapes me for the moment - no it was Jess - we actually had a bloke who used to go round schools dressed in a sumo style Postman Pat outfit - he also had a "minder" because the kids used to kick the sh*t out of his shins.

Come to think of it it's so long ago some of the young sods are probably working here now.

Right - who has got the bottle to go on as Postman Pat - and his sidekick the black cat, whose name escapes me for the moment - no it was Jess - we actually had a bloke who used to go round schools dressed in a sumo style Postman Pat outfit - he also had a "minder" because the kids used to kick the sh*t out of his shins.

Come to think of it it's so long ago some of the young sods are probably working here now.

We had a Postman pat suit and head that used to get taken to schools. The head was solid fiberglass, quite heavy and only two eye holes, no mouth. Anyway at one hot summer school event poor old Pat was sweating his b*****ks off so the head offered him a cool refreshing bottle of coke which he greatly accepted and he proceeded to swigg through one of the eye holes (the only way to drink without removing the head). Well one of the poor little lads freaked big time thinking that Pat was poking his own eye out. It took ages to calm him down as pat was his hero, none of the parents were amused but we did see the funny side back at the office

Well i watched it last night and although they had dressed up the act it still lacked anything like the big punch needed to win. However i say fair play to him as he had a go and got on national tv which is something i doubt i will ever do. I think at one point he was on GMTV as well so i hope he made a little bit of cash out of it.
