Area Distribution RTD - SA Pay Rates/Holiday Pay

Further to LTB 137/09 circulated to Branches and Representatives on 19th February 2009 reporting the action that had been taken to rectify the errors in the payments of the SA pay rates/holiday pay calculations for Area Distribution Drivers that had continued after December 2008.

The business have now confirmed that the arrears for the period between December 2008 and week ending 12th April 2009 will be included in this weeks pay for those drivers who are entitled to back pay. These rates will also be carried forward and included in holiday pay calculations for Area Distribution Drivers going forward.

I have also been informed by Royal Mail that the revised overtime spreadsheets have now been circulated which should alleviate the difficulties that have been encountered in respect of SA pay rates/holiday pay calculations for drivers covered by the Professional Drivers Agreement in Royal Mail.
