Early morning allowance

I used to receive an early morning allowance that was taken away from me with no explanation as to why.Initially RM were demanding repayment but have now dropped the claim for repayment,my question is whether I am entitled still to the allowance
Does anyone know the cut-off date for being entitled to the allowance?,I started working at my do about 5 years ago.Apologies if this is going over old ground but I couldn't find the answer in previous topics.Hope someone can help

a colegaue of mine tried to follow it up when he noticed the extra payments stopped then was told he'd have to pay £400 back to rm

Im in a rural office we used to be a 530 start then 6 now we are 630 start but offhand I cant remember when those changes came in.The allowance was 6 quid a week and for me its like having a 2 % pay cut.I dont want to push my claim at the mo too much because I need to get all the relevant info.Im not the only one whos lost out in the office.My own case is slightly complicated but one of the others is a 20 year + postie whos had his stopped but all the other long service guys maintain their allowance as far as i know.All full-time duties start at the same time

The reason I ask is because early attendance is only protected under grandfather rights under pay and flexability deal if you moved to later starts after, may 05 (i think thats the date ). if your office moved before then you would only receive protection for 3 years under MTSF.

Royalmail is attacking the union and it's members on all front's MTFS is one of those front's and there will be more and more as time goes by!.

I only get £6 per week aswell. When I worked in Callers I had to do a late shift every other week 11.30 - 19.30, so I lost £6 a week, when I accepted the Callers duty I was'nt told I would lose half of my allowance and I got nothing for working late shift. Now I'm back on delivery its still only £6.

Wouldn't bet on the grandfather rights lasting any longer than 3 years either. CWU said they have the option of using it towards future pay rises after 3 years. If they have this option in an agreement with RM then RM have this option as well
