What do you find on peoples doorsteps?

Post by Timelord »

Today, I went to a door and at the side of the step there was a pile of several little tranparent plastic bags containing dogs pooh!! and recently I've come across a couple of dirty nappies (ok, they were rolled up neatly at least and they were gone the next day). It just makes me wonder what possesses some one to leave stuff like this on the step where anyone could turn up and see it - even if it's put there just for a short time, it seems odd to me!!

Just wondered what things other posties come across on the doorstep?

people leave nappies on doorsteps cos they can't go to landfill, councils aren't allowed to collect them .. so they get picked up from door step by a company which gets paid by the council.

not sure how you knew they were nappies cos they supposed to be sealed bags lol..
and here comes avi cohen! oh i say! at the same end, he's got one back!!

9 times out of 10 its large parcels doorstepped by my driver. Recorded deliverys, whatever, it doesn t matter. Then you see him parked under a bridge, hiding so he wont have to phase 3 anything. While i'm slogging my cuts out. :no no Ask him to take something that I cannot get in my bag, like a fridge, and he throws a wobbly. f***ing disgrace!!!!!! :evil/mad

Normally a recorded delivery the size of a small TV left there by my arse-wipe of a driver. :evil/mad :evil/mad

By the way I spell checked arse-wipe and it came up with three different versions? The beauty of the English Language nowadays.

All of the above.
And parcels doorstepped by other carriers, usually business post and omega.
A few months ago, on a day pouring down with rain all morning, I went up to one door and there were two parcels (business post) at the side of the house. Not only being rained on but they were just under the eave and a steady stream of water was flowing off the gutter directly onto them.

I had to think, "shall I move them or not ?" Nothing to do with me, it's not my job to interfere with with another companies work, but what if they were mine ? I moved them out of the streams downpour. that's all I could do really but they were still out in the rain.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?
