I've seen plenty of neurotic old women in my experience of Unions , maybe it's a mirrored culture , plenty of neurotic old women as managers who are frightened of their own shadow thanks to :lfo 's top down , fear , uncertainty and doubt , regimented style of management .Yahoorsur wrote:Dont think I have ever seen a woman with balls.fasterthanyou wrote:this union is run by women with no balls......lol

Although i'm not going to leave the union,i find they have gone a bit quiet of late.
They don't seem to know the rules themselves and the managers are walking all over our ignorance.
I also think they caved in when we signed the way forward crap.We are doing exactly what they were fighting against and what we went on strike for.For some reason all of a sudden they agreed something but seems like we got shafted all for £300.

The deal we got now is not the one we went on strike over. If you don't believe me just look at itpony wrote:Although i'm not going to leave the union,i find they have gone a bit quiet of late.

Re: I am leaving cwu
Not throwing toys out of pram but it seems that we went on strike about certain things that we are now being forced to do.We got steam rolled into signing flexabity agreement at our office and we are lapsing walks, being sent to other offices, walking for 4 hours+,bullied in to working late because we made 10 mins on a tuesday and soon to be doing the 4 to a van crap.
When ever we need some advice the local rep never seems to know what the deal is.
I think sometimes people read stuff as it isn't intended.
I don't want to slag the union off but i haven't really heard anything from them through our rep for a long time and when ever i ask a question his rep never has the answer.
Meanwhile our manager makes us do all sorts of crap because we haven't got anyone to back us up.
This might just be a local issue but i feel my union reps don't really know whats going on at the moment.
I mean know one knows the rules on this prepping d2d items in work time.I've emailed union,my rep has asked local rep.I asked on here.I've shown that document to our manager and he says its crap.So i now have to prep them in my time.
I know its wrong and you know its wrong but the union wont or can't help with this at all.Its very frustrating and i think i'm entitled to have a little moan.

If there was anything to be done, it would have been. CWU was caned over a year ago. It just gives soundbites now - as we all know or should do. "I'm leaving, the union is crap" is far more on the nose than "we are the union" or some other retro statement.lekker wrote:i really love all this " I'm leaving, the union is crap " stuff. The union is only as strong as its members so instead of whingeing why don't you get off your arses and DO SOMETHING.
Don't believe everything you're told in the rest room

Easy, don't do them in your own time,do them in their time and let them take you down the conduct code.
There is only one winner there mate.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I'm leaving my bank, costs me more money than the union ,does nothing to help me ,and only exists with fat handouts from the public purse
Very modern and efficient

I think the cwu is amazing....I would gladly sell off my house and all it`s contents just to make Billy happy.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09

Times are not good at the moment, what with Royal mail trying to grind us into the floor and the union seemingly unable to muster enough balls or support to stop them. Its times like this that we need to stand together.
It angers me to see fellow workers eargerly chasing an ever shrinking carrot, thinking they can still make time if they come in early and use thier cars on delivery.
Those same people thinking that management will leave them alone if they are good little soldiers.
Its going to be a long hard slog fighting for our futures.
But FIGHT we Must!.
The only way we can do this is by standing TOGETHER!
Perfect
Why cant all members feel like this and then we might get somewhere.
