Postal workers at the Burslem delivery office in the Stoke area are to strike for four days next week in a continuing dispute over disciplinary action.
Last month Burslem workers walked out after one of them was suspended for alleged remarks to a manager.
In response Royal Mail imposed punitive sanctions on the union and has not dealt speedily or adequately enough with the disciplinary action.
The strike begins next Wednesday at 12.01am and continues until Saturday at 1pm. Burslem workers deserve full support.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
Royal Mail go against all the laid down procedures, then expect everybody to bow our heads when they come in with heavy handed tactics like having 1 manager per 4 postmen. It is little wonder we got a massive yes vote for strike action.Nobody walks out or takes official strike action without good reason.
Thanks for your comments about giving support Postman. Any support we get will be greatly appreciated. We have about 110 staff, we can't all be wrong in our decision to take action.
Good Luck lads - Don't let the barstewards grind you down.

. Im a Burslem Postie and im proud to say it, yes management say that BURSLEM D.O is a militant Delivery Office, But how many people can say that where they work and what they Believe in, that there colleagues will support them 100% through thick and thin, BURSLEM D.O WILL.
Today when my driver picked me up and took me back to the office 13.00 official time, managers and casuals were loading the Vans and there cars to go out and do walks, i heard a manager say to another manager Look every one is finishing, and they both looked so fed up, but all us Posties are getting on the Vans first thing and Last thing of each DAY and the BANTER AND MORALE is through the Roof. ( D Hulme Respect ).

The Area Manager has suspended a good bloke and a good postman just to make a name for himself, you ought to be ashamed of yourself, you arogant s**t. Let big D come back to work
I'm the rep at a DO in the stoke area. I'm doing my best to get my office into the fray to support the Buslem Boys. If we all follow their example, Leighton and Crozier will take a massive hit. Keep it up guys, your stand shows what collective courage can do!!
Royal Mail still seem to think that we are all bothered about money. We believe in what is morally right-not just a few ,a massive majority.Get D back in work ,get off our backs and give the public the service they deserve. Not them sour faced managers who do sh*t jobs & spend all day moaning about "its raining"etc. The managers who travel daily to our office to do deliveries should be ashamed of theirselves. They know what has happened & are nothing but crack whores, surely some of them have a conscience!!!!!I know you monitor this site!!!!!

However we are awaiting the result of another ballot in support of a postman who was suspended before Christmas. The outcome should be known by the weekend.
