When i got back to the office i wasted no time in killing it off and sending it out on the missort run. Anyway this twit turns up later that day with his 97p demanding his packet and they told him it had been returned. He hit the roof as it was the completion paperwork of a large property deal. He ended up making a big fuss about the whole thing and i was told to simply P739 any charges in future and not to speak with him. Sweet job done! :Very Happy

I remember once, a lady caught me in the street and asked me, in an aggressive manner, if I had a parcel for her. I knew I didn't, but she insisted I emptied my bag etc.. I was as nice as pie and mentioned that it would probably arrive in the next few days. Next thing, she starts going ape s**t, accusing me of stealing and lying and she was going to report me etc... Somehow I kept my cool but as I walked away I thought 'Im going to get you back for that, mark my words'.

Two days later, the parcel arrives on my fitting, but what a shame, it didn't have a number on it, so it took a nice trip back to those that sent it!
About a week later the parcel had been resent, fully addressed. It's funny though, because I knew this woman was always out after 12o'clock, so I decided to do my round a slightly different way, and what a crying shame, she had a 739 card left so she had to pick it up from the office. Strangely enough, the woman has never spoken to me since. :cool

brings me to mind the old maxim, be nice to the waiter before youget your meal ! :Very Happy

perhaps a Doc/paramedic can slip some laxatives into the IV tube etc to any gobby violent patient :whistle

I hate that when you say "mornin" and you get completely ignored.
I also hate people who have a face like a slapped arse.Got a few customers like that.Their faces would crack if ever they smiled and woe betide you if their mail gets wet or you bend something.
And why do people say "hmmph this will be going straight in the bin" as if i even care.

I had an old guy open the door to me in a block of 6 flats after I had posted some sh*te through his door .

He came out and said please dont make a noise with his letterbox as his wife is sleeping  How the f*ck am I meant to know ? ?

I asked him that and never got a reply . He had the mail in his hand and whilst I was walkin back downstairs he called me and told me that he didnt want his mail and threw it down to me .

He waited watching me . Obviously wanting me to pick it up . I told him it will sit where it landed unless he came down and handed it to me . He said no and i told him then it stays there and its got your name on it so your neighbours will know who it is . :coolr

Who the hell do these old codgers think they are talkin too ?? The letterbox got rattled for the next 3 weeks  :dance :dance

People moan about young people but the older generation i.e."Senior Citezins" (i hate that phrase) are some of the most rudest people i've ever come across.

I totally agree. I've always been respectful of my elders (until I learned to drive then everyone was fair game for abuse  ). It used to really wind me up when we were getting the bus home from school and we'd form an orderly queue and some old bint would just come along and walk right to the front and get on.

All the rude people we get in the enquiry office are usually retired. I don't know whether it's because they've finished all their work they feel it's time they were allowed to say what they think without losing their job?! lol

I love it, I know I shouldn't, but I do - when they say "Where does it say I need ID" and I point out the 2 signs (1 on the front door the other next to the serving hatch) that say they need ID and turn the card over and point that section that says ID is required. :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy .

Normal reply from them then is "Yes but, but, but ..................."

I had a lady (retired) come into the office yesterday to collect a packet. Asked for ID as I do with everyone and she looked at me like I'd just s**t on her doorstep and said "No. I came down here before and you were shut and I was in when it was delivered. I didn't know I had to bring ID with me"

I turned the card over and pointed out the opening times and the part where it asks for ID (I actually pointed at the Welsh and English bits just in case) and asked if she wanted me to get it redelivered or did she want to come back with ID.

She said "Well, surely you can give it to me?!". I said no, that's why I asked for ID. She got arsey and asked for it to be redelivered today.

Loving the woman who crashed into the D.O. gates. We had someone reverse into our barrier cradle thing the other day, not a scratch on his car, barrier cradle fell down lol

Some customers :left:

Loved the D.O. gate incident, you do get them, they think rich big cars = better person, reminds me of a saying "If you have to tell people you have Class....You don't"

I know of a few posties in my Office with BMWs who they are better than everyone but I think they are arrogant twats, they will be the bitter and twisted customers of the future, mark my words.

The cheerful postie, with a shoe box size packet in tow, says the routine "good afternoon" and kinda motions the packet with an out stretched arm and then says, looking at all 3 1 by 1,"who wants this then?"

There was a deadly silence Image

Realising that he had somehow stumbled into the abyss, the postie decided despite the danger involved ,to walk towards 1 of the estate agents,"what is it?" the estate agent said,"i dunno" the postie replied,"but it's for you lot".
The estate agent replied,"i know it's for us,but what is it".
At this point and what seemed an eternity Image Image the postie stood there deciding what to do.

Does he...

A: Say "Look here you fecking halfwit, how the feck do i know what it fecking is,i just deliver the s**t"

B: Say "Well i would tell ya but i left me fecking x-ray specs at home today,so it's pot fecking luck what it is"

C: Say "Are you some kinda twat, what's with you fecking lot, problem selling houses is it?"

D:Say "Well it's not valuable dude,i mean,if it was i'd a nicked the fecking thing, you know what us posties are like don't ya"

E:Say to the girl of the group, who's not really that hot but it's a laugh init "Look babe,i don't know what's in the packet, but if you play your cards right,i've got a special packet for you, know what i mean doll" And obviously do the wink thing.

F:Take a deep breath, hand the packet over to the 1st estate agent ,then leave without waiting for the 'thankyou' which didn't come anyway, and decide that next time you get something for the numnuts, just lamp it on the 1st desk you see.
G: Take a deep breath, and say "It's illegal for us to open your Mail, so I've no way of knowing. And quite frankly, I'm offended that you would think I'd do such a thing".
