We've just had our elections for Branch and Rep positions, which are held annually after the AGM.

Good grief! It seems like our reps are taking after old Queen Victoria!!!!!! It's another carry on film "Carry on Regardless" And the best bit is woe betide if anyone stands against them as they get warned off. Must go and find that mask shop!!!!!

our reps been in place for a year and a bit now. i fancy having a go but he hasnt mentioned elections yet. is there ne other way to force an election even if the appropriate timescale hasnt lapsed, apart from a vote of no confidence (which we could get) he isnt the best rep in the world but he did put his hand up and a vote of no confidence is a shitty way of doing it. ne help or advice greatly appreciated.

Why vote him out. Another way would be to act as deputy rep or do like we did form an unofficial committee and help him out. Being a rep is a difficult and thankless task and it takes time to become an effective one. In fact being a committee member or a dep rep is a good way to learn how to become an effective rep if an when you take over.
