I did wrong "sue me"
OK... I'm prepping my walk this morning when I come across a mothers day card with a yellow sticker saying you owe £1.06, what I did next was wrong I know, I tore it off and placed it in my frame, if someones sending a card it means they wont be there on Sunday, so not only is the old dear the card was for not seeing them, she wouldn't have got the card either
would you have done the same

Not in the present climate I wouldn't - I may have taken it to a sympathetic manager and got him to sign it off.

Anything that arrives on my frame get delivered, the revenue protection team,if they can take an item of mail and surcharge it then they can put it in the proper channel (in the bags that get delivered to the RLE), I'm getting increasingly pissed off with having to do other peoples work as well as my own

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Because there are people on the IPS that think they should just be allowed to go thru...POSTMAN wrote:Why is it being sorted to your walk,it should of been pulled on the IPS.

Same here. I've had one or two and just assumed it had been paid and was to be delivered. Not that I look. All I see is the address and if its recorded or not. I never look to see if it's first class, mailsort or whatever.eroader wrote:If it gets to my fitting,it gets delivered.

I have been here nearly 2 years and no-body has explained what the yellow stickers are for, I just presumed it has already been paid for and delivered it?, this company is a joke.

Re: I did wrong "sue me"
same as everything else tho aint it? i was shown nothing, just how to throw off a walk and deliver it. no dead letters/brps/po boxes. had to find out by trial and error mostly.dohnut wrote:I have been here nearly 2 years and no-body has explained what the yellow stickers are for, I just presumed it has already been paid for and delivered it?, this company is a joke.
but on the subject of items not paid for, i think its ridiculous that you have to pay an extra 6p for an item. if they didnt make sending a letter so complicated for some people, they wouldnt have this prob. i always deliver the item. its fate, it mite reach another postie who is a jobsworth and do what your meant to do, but like someone said previous, i aint got time to deal with that aswell as throwing off a walk/sorting/clearing down etc

Re: I did wrong "sue me"
until i recently ive been killing of quite a lot of po box mail then i realised what it meant, so if im not sure what address its for and it turns up in my net bundles i give it to the callers office who write the address down on the envelopeGrantyboy wrote:dohnut wrote: no dead letters/brps/po boxes. had to find out by trial and error mostly.
