Of course that doesn't surprise me in the least - how many of those at the meeting actually deliver?AndyK wrote:My point is 3.30 continuous is max for over the shoulder and will remain, however look at van sharing, split deliveries, bullshit geo route revisions, lapsing etc all mean longer than 3.30, I also attended a meeting with area reps, div reps, RM managers and local reps to discuss deliveries over 3.30 as part of phase3 (north Lancs. /Cumbria) i.e. split deliveries use of new equipment. Dispute all you like. Fact longer deliveries are being agreed.

most of the local reps. They were all as pissed off as myself with the crap being spouted, in fact some stayed to argue the toss with the AGM, never the less the principle is there for deliveries over 3.30.how many of those at the meeting actually deliver?

How many not on deliveries argued against it andy? That is the problem with this type of negotiating - it's the personal equiivalent of NIMBY.AndyK wrote:most of the local reps. Fair point the non delivery reps (div/area) of course towed the line infuriating further the local reps but div reps negotiate with AGMs and obviously agreed with the principles of longer deliveries provided H&S and new equipment was taken into account your right to say if left to most local rep a straight FO would have been the answer.

Re: New 4 Hour duty
rest assured Andy if your office has proposals for van share duties the deliveries will be 4:15. these will be comprised of 2x3:30 geo routed deliveries plus packets and specials, maybe some bulk drops. until a national agreement is forthcoming there will be NO agreement to continuous walks that are over 3:30.
anything other than this reach disagreement, you WILL get full support from area reps.

Re: New 4 Hour duty
You would have thought that after all this time these seasoned reps would realise that any promised H&S and new equipment, bag drops, testing etc etc is all my eye and betty martin - a recent conversation leads me to believe that these people are willing to agree to any measures in the guise of making it look like they are having "input" - reorganisation is long overdue. Perhaps we should be thinking of works committees again instead of lap dog negotiating - it's no wonder the managers love these guys - talk about "how high".AndyK wrote:Fair point the non delivery reps (div/area) of course towed the line infuriating further the local reps but div reps negotiate with AGMs and obviously agreed with the principles of longer deliveries provided H&S and new equipment was taken into account your right to say if left to most local rep a straight FO would have been the answer.

You must be one of the many thousands who doesn't have first person representation. You should be able to find the number of the local CWU office or alternatively go on the CWU website and find the address of your local branch.andy.m wrote:Sorry if it seems like a stupid question, but how do i get in contact with a local rep of mine?
They may have an email address or email HQ for the info - you pay your subs you're entitled to representation.
