They aren't allowed to mate I don't think!!

I know the branch will be sending out some stuff next week. They do it on email as well so i'll post it all on here as and when i get it!!

Nash is the sort of person we should be voting for, someone that knows RM policies inside out and can use it against them, this saves posties from being dismissed or them having to go through the stress of an ET when they don't really need to.

My info is that it was this branch that advised HQ's on the infamous pay & modernisation conference call?

Yes Les Evans is from Deliveries. I was reading his background today on the literature our Branch has put together. Chris is from Plymouth, Andy Nash from Bristol and Les from Swansea so i'd say this team pretty much represents a fair spread across the Division.

Please find attached my election address for the post of Divisional Representative SW/SW. All candidates were allowed just 300 words so some things had to be omitted but hopefully my aims for the role come across.

Introduction
For the first time in 5 years the members of this Division have the chance to elect their Senior Representatives. This is a pivotal election and will no doubt play a key role on how we move this Union Forward. If new blood and ideas are not introduced now then this Union faces the prospect of dying on its feet.

Communications
It is my firm belief that the most important thing for the CWU to get right is communications. If elected I will introduce the following right across South Wales and the South West -
• Text Message Systems for Reps/Members
• Email Updates Systems for Reps/Members
• A Monthly (at least) Divisional Reps newsletter
• My contact details will be displayed in every unit in the Division

Why Elect me?
I am asking you to elect me because I stand for a key set of principles that will never waver -
• Royal Mail MUST be challenged head on for their bullying tactics in units rights across the UK
• I will fight to protect Full-Time work and Earnings opportunities
• The progression from part-time to full-time must be maintained
• If I feel senior figures whether Management or CWU Representatives are not best serving the interests of the membership then I will never be afraid to challenge them.

Many members feel disappointed with the CWU. I believe you now face a stark choice. If you feel the current direction of the Union is the right one then fine. If not and you believe in the principles I have laid out in my address then please support my candidacy.

Each to their own mate. Its only a branch recommendation! Every members makes the choice on how the vote but its always good to have guidance from your reps who have worked with the candidates

The emails that are being quoted on here were meant for the Plymouth and East Cornwall Branch members only.

I have carried out all of my campaigning in branch and will continue to do so as per the CWUs National rules.

This may not be ideal but sadly the rules are the rules!!

Ahhh the elusive mr webb,welcome mate,your branch members gave us a lot of your stuff during the strikes and they were very helpful.

We have a lot of stuff from various branches posted on the site,as well as CWU HQ stuff.

Keep up the good work and good luck to you and anyone else up for nomination everywhere.
