Re: Tranfering to MDEC
I'm a rep on Stoke at nights, and it's been literally years since we had any new faces on that shift. As for part time lates, at 20hrs, that's a likelier option, though you'd need to make enquiries.

Probably got something to do with that thing called business need. I'd hazard a guess.

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
If you're going to do it, go to lates, it's only four hours.
Nights is full time so eight hours of staring at a screen may get too much.
Then there's your colleagues:
(Major portion of post deleted for 2 reasons:
1. People were able to identify the people you mentioned and we pride ourselves on anonymity on RMC.
2. The comments were not constructive and possibly abusive.)
If I wanted full time night work I'd go elsewhere.

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
My, my, what a poisonous personality! And you DO work nights in the MDEC, so pretending you don't is a bit silly. Your remarks will be passed on to the people concerned, especially where you masquerade your opinions as facts, and also whether someone is foreign or not is irrelevant, don't you think? i note your many entries on the BNP......Finally, I feel it is wrong of you to use the same Forum name as another member of staff in the very same workplace uses for their own purposes, since it might misleadingly attribute your unkind remarks to that person instead....booboo wrote:If you're going to do it, go to lates, it's only four hours.

Agreed, kaotician.
He went a bit OTT there.
With 100+ keyers on that shift, there are obviously a wide variety of characters.
BTW, I didn't realise there was a member of staff who uses the name "Booboo", apart from on this forum.
Take care, folks.

Offending parts of post deleted, and parts of those that quoted it - one post deleted in full.
booboo rules say:
Please do not in any circumstances resort to name calling or behaviour that could be deemed as bullying or harassment.
Everyone else - thank you for your comments but could I ask you to use the report feature on each post if you think a post breaks the rules, or breaks our promise of anonymity as this will alert the Mod Team so we can deal with it quickly. I did not see the offending post for nearly 2 hours because of all the other new posts.
Thanks everyone.

In response to Kaoticians comments about the BNP I'd have a job having anything to do with them due to my ethnicity.

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
First of all have you not thought that there could be more than one person with the nickname "booboo"?kaotician wrote:And you DO work nights in the MDEC, so pretending you don't is a bit silly. It's come to my attention that someone, probably yourself, has been telling people, particularly night staff that I'm a certain somebody who used to work with them and has now left the business. That suits me fine as it means you have idea who I really am. Let's put it this way, I still work at Stoke MDEC, I'm on lates, and I'm.... female!

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
Booboo, if you believe kaotician has been talking about you behind your back (a form of harrassment), you should report it.
I don't know who kaotician is, but if he actually knows who you are, then he should have had the guts to speak to you personally, rather than mouthing off to other MDEC keyers.
The ironic things is, kaotician stated that he would pass comments made on this thread to the relevant people.
Seems there is something of the old pot and kettle going on.
Take care, folks.
PS - Keep Mandelson's grubby mitts off Royal Mail.
PPS - Still waiting on the chair arms. Cheers.

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
That's just it, they haven't actually been talking about me but someone else who they believe has been posting under this name.
So as far as I'm concerned it's not a complaints issue as I'm not the one being talked about, and the person who is being talked about doesn't works there anymore anyway.

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
As I've not actually been in the MDEC for the last 5 weeks, it's hardly likely to be me, is it? However, this just clouds the issue - I complained that you'd been sniping unpleasantly at people, and the mods have advised you accordingly. End of discussion, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
Is it me, or have the reps had a lot of time off recently.kaotician wrote:As I've not actually been in the MDEC for the last 5 weeks
There is another rep (the one who hated Pam Foster) who is only in about 2-3 days a week. If you wanted to speak to him, well, it's like playing a roulette wheel.
Maybe its time for someone who is in 5-days a week to do the job(s).
kaotician, it's just a suggestion. I realize you might have genuine reasons to be off. It's just a general complaint.
Take care, folks.

Re: Tranfering to MDEC
There could be all sorts of reasons for people to be off, and not just the reps - your point duly noted, perhaps you could raise it as an issue at the next elections?
