Mark my words as in the SDD Single Daily Delivery, health and safety will get put on the back burner in order for management to get the mail out!

Re: VAN SHARING
Our park and loopers are starting at 0715 now - they keep putting the time forward - just another aspect of the master plan.

Re: VAN SHARING
We're having a re pick in our office in the next few months and I was thinking I might as well apply for them as the part time parcels/collection duty I currently do will basically not exist if they bring in van sharing and they deliver their own parcels.

Re: VAN SHARING
I wouldn't bank on the re-pick april - when our park and loop was first initiated because it had to be full timers they wre encouraged to leave their town duty 3.5 walks for the 4.15 hour one on park and loop with the promise of a trial of 8 weeks with a re-pick after 10 weeks - well 22 weeks on they are still waiting.Aprilaydee wrote:We're having a re pick in our office in the next few months and I was thinking I might as well apply for them as the part time parcels/collection duty I currently do will basically not exist if they bring in van sharing and they deliver their own parcels.

Re: VAN SHARING
Well there are also 3 vacant rounds up on the board and I considered applying for one of those too.
I did used to have my own round but it was a monster and I was struggling. Partly because I felt like I had to get it finished within the agreed time (even the people that don't have little legs like me can only do it in 3 hours on a quiet day). So when my DOM suggested I swapped to go onto this other duty I was very relieved.
However, I'm also WPC and with me working constant afternoons, I don't see anyone to actually coach! lol I have time though to do my other work though...
Hey ho, we'll see what happens. I'll hopefully be out of there by then anyway.

One of our former lady posties was also a special for some time and eventually passed the exam and is now a full time PC. She used to visit us on the picket line in her police car and bring coffee from Mcdonalds.Aprilaydee wrote:Well there are also 3 vacant rounds up on the board and I considered applying for one of those too.

Sorry, WPC is work place coach... Nowhere near fit enough to join the police
I do volunteer with the Police/community stuff though (And St John Ambulance, and Cats protection and the RSPCA and Marie Curie Cancer Care.... I think that's it for now lol).

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Re: VAN SHARING
Don't worry, we all have them. Guy was on the phone the other day trying to tell me a box hadn't been emptied. I couldn't for the life of me remember where the box was and I had to ask someone and then I realised a) it's on my collection and b) it's about 600 yards from the office...dvbuk55 wrote:Sorry my mistake - a senior moment againAprilaydee wrote:Sorry, WPC is work place coach...
