COURIER- MARCH

Post by vigilante »

I love to make a mockery of this rag.

Front page----snow report. Now surely that is a H/S issue! Besides pulling the sledge in slippery snow is she carrying two pouches??
page 5-------Letter volumes declining?? Not that I can see!
Page 11------Give us your Bright Ideas--------lose a few hundred usless management who push yorks for a living. treat us with respect for a change.
need I go on.
Centre-----We did all white-------Good for them, especially matey in the shorts!?---I wouldn't risk myself in those conditions.
Page 18----Are you a wizz in the kitchen------nice-----I have a recipe, it's called privatisation cake-----bloody hard to swallow though!!
Page 20----usual letters that the courier want in and nothing derogatory about the organisation.
Page 21---pictures of snowmen reading the courier-------words fail me on that.
page 23---Trapped on a mountain----glad he is alright------think of someone I rather have trapped on a mountain if you get my drift.
Page 25----Moving history of post service------plastic pig vans?????surely not

Dear oh dear,
I dont know why I open It I just have to is it an OCD

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

What the hell is a P4550 'card'? Described in the Courier as "The card we leave our customers to let them know we have tried and failed to deliver a Special Delivery (c) item".

Thought that was the P739 and the P4550 was the white bit of paper we ask the Customer to sign when they receive their item. Hmmm, so are we now supposed to deliver the P4550 slip through the letter box, or is the Courier written by people who have never gone out on on a delivery in their life?

Answers on a P45.

A P4550(W) is the card we get them to sign. The P739(W) is the "sorry you were out or were too lazy to come to the door and now you're going to phone up and whinge" card.

I was wondering with these new regions, will you be served by a MC within your region in which case I think ours is in South Wales somewhere and will have a journey of several hours to reach us or will it just be same as usual and therefore a complete waste of time doing all the changes yet again?

I never read crap like that. I just put a sticker on it, mark it 'Refused' and send it back. I remember in the days before it used to come addressed directly to us, it arrived in a big bundle to be left in the office for anyone who wanted to pick one up. Needless to say, the bundle lay there for a couple of weeks and only the managers ever bothered with it.
I don't see why Royal Mail should impose on us by sending the damned thing to our homes.
