We've had the template for a while. Too late to get it unagreed now.Big Daz wrote:When was the template agreed? Managment in my cluster tried to put into the flexibility aggrements , but the 3 reps in the cluster and the ADR would not agree as it hadnt been agreed at HQ level, so in the end it was agreed they would not be used untill there was a HQ level aggrement/authorisation.
on one hand the driver cannot chuck back anything that wont fit it, but on the other we have to take everything that will. No matter how unwieldy or heavy.
In practise the only thing you can do is leave pouches with undelivered parcels in them at the drop-bag point. you are often told "never carry more than the permitted weight, and never carry more than one full pouch at a time" If it takes longer, book the OT or cut off. And dont you have any scales at your DO ? You should do. How else are you to know whether you've exceeded the weight limit or not ?If you take a packet out, say shoe box size, and they are out, what the heck do you do with it when you get to the next pouch box? Leave it? Then do you have to go round all your boxes picking up packets and taking them back to the DO? What if they weigh more than 11kg? In fact, how would you know how much they weigh? I never did figure that out.
