We have a name of a minister to email - I got this off this site http://www.politics.co.uk/News/economy/ ... 474571.htm - its old news obviously but the last 2 lines say

Postal services minister Jim Fitzpatrick urged workers not to strike, saying industrial action would damage both their cause and that of their employers

Perhaps we should start emailing him.

Sent him a mail
To whom it may concern,
I am a CWU rep at ******* Delivery office, the delivery staff at ******* are hard working decent people, thy cannot beleive that a Labour government are treating them with such disregard.They and myself are constantly being lied to, deceived, bullied and harrassed by Royal Mail managers both nationally and locally. They are of the opinion that this government is complicit in everything that Royal Mail is doing to them. We urge you to intervene in the dispute between Royal Mail and stop this disgusting behavior towards us.

Also sent an E/Mail to him I quote his reply:

"Are you a constituent? If so please supply a full postal address and I will respond,
Jim"

Seem`s you have to be a constituent, before you get an answer.

Just sent an e-mail to Mr Fitzparick rather a long one but who cares , maybee if everone did the same we might get somewhere.Told him that his comments sounded more like a tory MP rather than a lobour one

He's a poacher turned gamekeeper. he used to be a fireman and militant FBU Rep in Strathclyde , and was active in the firemen's srike in 1975. He was also a member of a certain left wing group. he joined the Labour Party in the 90's, became a
MP in Newham, embraced New Labour, became a Government Whip, and now Minister for the Post Office. He denounced his former colleagues in the Fire Service when they took Industrial Action on pay and cuts three years ago, so I wouldn't hold your breath if you expect him to support us.

Lets see how they match up then

To serve the customer:

we need to ensure that Royal Mail has a sustainable and profitable business (What when RM cant set the price of DSA but Post Con does)

: that it provides an excellent service to all of its customers -

businesses(OK they've done that if your a large multinational or Bulk poster)
individuals (RM say they're not our customers)
and other service providers (By closing Post Offices ? )
and offers its employees rewarding (by increasing D2Ds but decreasing payment ? )
and worthwhile employment (By making the rounds longer and later ?)

I wouldn't hold out much hope,the only MP I could find with any association with the CWU was Michael Connarty MP for Linlithgow and Falkirk.He's CWU Parliamentary Liaison Group (Secretary).I sent an email voicing my concerns about the dispute,I asked him if he had read Crozier's letter that was sent out to all MP's and Peers iving Royal Mail's view.
He hadn't read it!
He thought the email I sent him was strange.His attitude seem to be that he didn't want to rock the boat,he said would always support the CWU.But he didn't really commit himself to totally supporting the CWU since he didn't want to second guess what Industrial Action the CWU would take.
Typical MP reply -I support you but on the other hand I don't want to get involved.

Sent the email but the address given is for his House of Commons Constituency Office, so got a curt reply.

Still trying to find his DTI email address to send a new one.

If anyone knows it please post as he deserves to taken to task and the more mail he gets it could help
