I've made a post in the Union room about it hopefully someone will be able to give us the full facts about it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

How are we going to get these all singing all dancing trolleys out to the deliveries. We don't have vans taking us out and some walks are 7 miles out. Try getting one of those on a bus never mind the 7 posties that get on my bus.

We had 2 videos one did'nt work so everyone cheered. Our manager also told us that later on this year we would all be getting some sort of hand held data thingy, which I thought was going to be for input of regys, recordeds etc. couldnt believe it when we were told that they were for reading electric, gas meters in the future.

Had to sit through the latest bull**** videos in Work Time Lying, our screw that struggles with light switches let alone something complicated like a TV/Video had the sound up so high we couldn't understand a word of it, even if we had wanted to listen! We did start singing 'Just One Cornetto' when the 'tricycle' appeared. Once again was 'unlucky' enough to sit behind someone whose head mostly blocked my view. . . . . . . :cfo

OK got you now cheers johnny.

We have passes up here but they are clamping down on Posties using them to get into work and going home as well so tell them to be careful if they do that.

We were told in our WTL session that RM HAS to charge 4p less for DSA than their cheapest product (MS3), is this true or has anyone else heard this. Of course this means however efficent we are (or cheap) then it won't matter we'll still get screwed. :cfo :lfo

Not 100% with the figures, but THERE IS a cap on what we are allowed to charge.

We had an interesting work time lying session this week when our dom told us we couldn't leave the office 'till all the rounds were in the frames. We had two rounds that weren't prepped due to sick leave. The idea was that we should use our WTL to prep these deliveries

Absolute nonsense, the guy was standing at the door like some bouncer, unfortunately some lads threw these rounds in while the rest stood round chatting. We should have had a sit in.

What WTL session

Post by tyconuk »

What are these things you call WTL :confused
Our last WTL was handed too us on a sheet off paper.
Please don't strike :lfo :cfo was top of the agenda
We can't go out before all walks are thrown out for the AG's,
that might not even turn in. And when they are thrown out, we can get our YELLOW card
from the missort frame, too be able too get our specials.

I think the last time i saw a video for WTL was over five years ago.
What i would like too know? Are we supposed to have WTL weeekly
or bi-annually :chuckle
I think that when the smoking ban comes in that we might start having them weekly,
cause i think our management would rather have a fag than do the job they are paid too do

WTL Yawn

Post by cruisey »

OPs manager took out WTL again today. Our DOM has had the last 3 tuesdays off. I really think he's heading for breakdown (again) and he can't handle these sessions anymore.
Ran through the smoking laws again. Then he proceeded to tell the staff what to do if they want to work on strike day. He told the office about abusing staff who cross the picket line, telling them it could lead to conduct. So i reminded him the boots on the other foot. If the managers or any staff harrass the picketers then they would be reported. He soon shut up.
Ops manager was then asked if he knew anything about the bonuses managers will be receiving. He couldn't wait to wrap the meeting up quick enough
