I've always voted Labour as, after growing up in the 80s, I've come to dislike the Tories immensely.

However, I for one will not be voting for them ever again if this goes thru. Might as well vote for the raving loony party, probably get more sense out of them.

Lets be honest you can't squeeze a fag paper between Labour and Tory policies on any important issue. How many times do you switch on the news a bit late to catch some political hack in full flow and then spend the next twenty minutes trying to work out which party he was from :chuckle
I always thought our masters told us that the point about democracy was that we exercised our right to choose :chuckle :chuckle

Same here but there is another way abolish the party system and have a parliament of independent MPs who respect the wishes of their constituents and not those of the old boys network. :mfo

So why is Billy and co are still in top dogs for CWU. They have not done anything useful. Maybe it is time for us to kick them out. How do we call an election or whatever.

Billy and Dave were re-elected (unopposed) last year.
I think they do not have to stand for re-election for another four years.

nice of him to let everyone know that something that we were going to fight tooth and nail to retain has just been left by the wayside without a fight despite us having a ballot on it ages ago, thanks for nothing

as for the government if this goes ahead then it will be the end for them, i won't be voting for them again and i think it just might destroy the party
Thats a f***ing discrace, if we don't fight for or terms and conditions whats the point of the union!!!!!!
I personnaly consider this far more important than nationalisation!!!!

Did anyone hear the radio interview (5 Live 10.00pm) last night regarding privatisation.
Billy Hayes was an embarrassment, he goes off on tangents & starts name dropping, another wasted opportunity to get across to the public. You need to speck in much firmer language Mr Hayes!

I heard it - unfortunately :mad
As the union, we are in serious need of someone who can make a cogent argument for the cause. He must be aware of the limited media time available, but at every opportunity he meanders all over the place causing more damage in terms of public perception. last night the topic of disaffiliation came up and he did some serious back peddling and ended up wasting time cosying up to the nu-liebour MP in the studio, even going on to say what a decent bloke Mandy is! :Sick :Sick :Sick
If anyone at HQ is reading this - Please lock him away in a darkened room somewhere and get DW (or anyone else for that matter!) to handle the media.
