Saturdays are the busiest on around half the runs in my office. Reason DSA mail, they are deliberatly putting it into us so it gets delivered on a Saturday as seemingly people only read the mail on a saturday as they're off. If we only delivered RM items inc mailsort it would be far quieter. Union really needs to do something as I believe that it was agreed that Saturday would be a quiet day so as to allow us to spend quality time with fanily etc. Another worrying trend is the amount of mail that used to be mailsort now coming through as DSA mail low & behold for delivery on a Saturday.
Monday, Saturday, Friday, thrusday, wednesday tuesday otherwise in terms of volume, but of course as the mails dropping every days like a Tuesday now according to management, oh that's right they don't count DSA mail in traffic figures

I don't think Saturday is actually the busiest day of the week, but it has become the hardest day simply because it's a shorter day and it's becoming more and more difficult to finish within our time, putting everyone under more pressure.

Not the busiest day of the week, but not far from it,a lot lot busier than use to be without a doubt.Latest Management trick, seems to be push out all the mail sorton Friday so it has to go,Saturday no mail sort, just loads of DSA and 2nd class and packets.

We got hammered yesterday  Didnt help that we had council magazines for every address, holiday home included.

To be fair, the gaffer gave us 2 days to do them, but had to put them all in frame saturday, i took them to everywhere i was going anyway, and adjacent places. Didnt finish till 3pm  Saturday is now a write-off for family/leisure purposes, often feel too knackered to go out Sat night.... so its basically a one day weekend now.
