Re: The "How was your day" thread.
In for 9:20, as soon as i saw every one of my pigeonholes on the primary full i knew i was in for an utterly sh*t day and i was proved right. Bench on my frame was full of unsorted mail, someone had started prepping but evidently found something better to do 20% of the way through, tray of unsorted post on the floor, trolley of packets too. Collared a lino, poor f**ker looked like he was going to burst, 'i had someone on your frame sorting" Yeah but he certainly didnt go get the same guy to help me finish prepping, so walking away from the job obviously worked for this guy. VERY heavy day, Sky magazines, charity mailshot, armfuls of flats, ended up with an extra 2 bags and every bag was full to bursting. Didnt leave the depot until 11:10 and my 1st letter wasnt until 11:20. So much for the 3.5 hour delivery, eventually finished at 15:20 without a break, someone is going to hear about this whether they give a f**k about it or not (needless to say they dont, certain linos were nowhere to be seen before i left).

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Same palaver again today, went in starting time and next to no prep was done, every pigeonhole on the primary rammed, 3 trays on the floor and next to nowt in my fram. Complained to the boss who got 1 of the lads to sort the mail into streets for me. Unfortunately i was covering the largest round in the depot (theyre ALL supposed to be 3.5 hours worth of walking but.....) i didnt get out until an hour after most of the others. i told them i'd have to leave 1 bag as i couldnt possibly do the lot in my time and i couldnt work too much OT. So i got a lift to the walk and my bags dropped off but i still didnt get finished until an hour and twenty past my time, god only knows what time i would be finished if i HADNT left a bag.

Not sure how to describe today, a f*****g nightmare might just cover it! They pushed so much stuff through today, extra sorting, loads of mech, yorks & yorks of parcels, got out of the office just before 11, I managed to finish my walk 'just' but left all my parcels, which no doubt will be waiting for me tomorrow. Huge list of cut offs on the board in the managers office. My mate in Rev Pro told me tomorrow and Friday look even worse
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
This weeks going from bad to worse. Monday was busier than usual, yesterday I had a 100% call rate and loads of housing assocation A4 letters with stacks of packets for good measure. And today was much the same but with shopping catalogues instead of the Housing association. God knows what tomorrow will bring as the yorks were stacking up with flats as I left this afternoon. A good job mail volumes are down!!!!!
