GOOD stories about Posties.
YThe worst thing about all these stories is the repurcussions it has for the rest of us--you can be sure it unsettles customers, and they end up looking at us all with jaundiced eyes.

A spokesman for Royal Mail Ltd said: "We don't comment on individual court cases but we have a zero-tolerance approach to any dishonesty and that stance is shared by the overwhelming majority of our people, who are honest and hardworking.
"We will always seek to prosecute the tiny minority of people who abuse their position of trust."
I don't think that there is anyone on RMC who would argue with the above sentiments.

"Today’s workplace has become heartless and soulless. Employees are seen as units of labour, automatons, functionaries, objects for achieving designated tasks, and as costs to be minimised."

These folk are pure scum, and give the rest of the honest posties a bad name. It should be an automatic jail sentence for interfering with the mail. Sadly though, anyone who has been in the job for any length of time will know more than a few idiots who have been caught- I lost count a long time ago.

The percentage of thieves in RM looks a lot but it is no higher than the percentage of thieves in the wider society.
Most people in Britain today, (or any other country tbf), are basically decent and honest. It is a fact that it's a minority that's responsible for all criminality. How often, in your own neighbourhood do you see the same people in and out of the courts ? All the time.
We as postmen are more aware of this. We know where we can leave the bike unlocked and where we cant. We know which addresses we deliver court summons to. say no more, OSA.

Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

Amen to that. Never good publicity with these individuals though.
Don't believe everything you're told in the rest room
