Royal mail bang on about "corperate image" yet the uniform orders are chaotic I ordered Boots size 7, Harrington, Shorts 34 waist.....I got Boots Ladies narrow fit 7,
2 polo shirts & shorts 26 waist, I now am wearing my own gear inc. trainers (which i have in the past loudly protested against staff wearing) most peeps in my office who orderd unform have got either wrong items or nothing.......what sort of impression does it give the public if we all arrive on delivery dressed differently? not a good company image!!!
when i first started just over 20 years ago we were compensated when we had no uniform to wear until we received our correct uniform dunno if compo is still available might be worth looking into especially when they gonna have to cough up hard cash for wear and tear on non uniform kit might make your gear arrive quicker too
biggazza, I started in '77 then we only got 2 pairs of trousers, a jacket , coat,cap and if you were lucky a white sowester....looks like we could be heading back in time!!
a DHL driver told me they only get basic uniform and have to buy the rest...mybe thats the way Roal Mail are going?
Hi Tosser welcome aboard the good ship RM Chat also having uniform problems, asked for a Harrington Jacket today told no more until the new uniform comes whenever that'll be, pity as mine has a rip in the front, if Royal Fail want the Worzel Gummidge look that's down to them. (Man of your years should remember that on TV!)
