Can anyone tell me the rules on sick pay....
I had a hip operation last year and had 3 months paid sick.
Later this year the other hip will be operated, and I will need another 3 months off.
One of my colleagues has told me we can have 6 months at full pay in a 4 year period, looking back over 4 years I have had 3 other weeks off in total, meaning that i will revert to half pay before I am able to return to work after my op.
Another colleague has told me we can have 6 months in a 12 month period.
Nobody seems too sure.
Thanks if anyone can give me definitive answer.

Re: Sick pay....
It's a three year period, 6 months full pay, 6 months half pay, then sick pay at pension rate, which IIRC is about £75 a week.

Re: Sick pay....
If you're not in the RM Pension Scheme, you have to claim SSP (Statutory Sick Pay) after 12 Months.
