Imagine what the callers office would look like today and how big the rounds would be if no one had invented the letterbox yet?.

Its funny you mention this as I was on a walk last week and it had some flats that you had to buzz to get in,what are you suppose to do if you had a packet but you could not get in, because you cant leave a DIB card do you take it back to the office and kill it off as no access

but you wouldn't be able to post the mail and DIB if there was no letter box, and how many times should you re-attempt

When I can't get access while doing my parcels, I write out the docket, take it back to the office, write on the top "unable to leave docket as no access" and get the postie to deliver it in the morning with the rest of their mail. Obviously if you were delivering their mail to start with.... lol

it is but i know in our office it really depends
usually after a week i leave the mail in the frame for collection if i cant gain access eg broken buzzers
if its a heavy stair then it depends how much mail is there
however i leave notes on the door from day 3 or from day 1 ifits obvious the buzzers are broken
