Mandy plan grounded

Royal Mail privatisation has crashlanded at Heathrow. Labour Chief Whip Nick Brown, I'm told, has warned Gordon Brown he can't get the sale through the House of Commons.
The arm-twisting needed to back a third runway unearthed stiffer opposition to flogging off part of the Post Office.
Peter Mandelson put on a brave face at Monday night's meeting with Labour MPs, upwards of 100 signing a hostile motion.
Chorley's Lindsay Hoyle captured the mood in arguing it's mad to nationalise the Mail's debt and privatise the profits.
One of Gordon Brown's inner circle insisted privatisation's dead - the task is to save Mandy's blushes.
Parachuted into the Lords from Brussels, the Business Secretary called it badly wrong.
The Labour consensus is he failed to grasp a seismic shift of ground. In the late 90s and early Noughties, Labour embraced all things private to prove it had changed.
Now it must champion public intervention to show it's changed again.

please be true, please be true,it would be recognition of the changed circumstances since the banking crisis,if only the Nu-Labour Mp's keep their backbones in place,(and thats a big IF).It would be an absolutely huge humiliation for both Broon and Mandy, given that they have both made statements totally backing the sell off, thats why I think all the stops will be pulled out to 'persuade' backbenchers to back this. But I live in hope
The more you know, the worse it gets.

if this is true, fantastic, though i doubt they will ever come out and admit it was a bad idea after all !!
