And what about the obligation for rural deliveries to be made by 3pm ( urban by 2pm ) ?

Re: New times for rurals
Spot on , just a scare tactic as the uso means dely have to be by 3.00pm.
Tell your rep or area rep and put in a unilateral disagreement if need be.
We losing a lot of hrs and one rural from 13,other option for 4/30 duties means 90% f/t so the carrot is well and truly dangling?

Re: New times for rurals
We have a similar thing happening in our office except they are doing it with the town deliveries. Rurals will stay on 6-2, doing IPS and preping the town deliveries. Towns will then come in, bag up, deliver and do a collection after. This will save them about 200 SA hours a week on collections and they also plan to get rid of IPS SAs which is another 100 or so hours. Personally I can't see how this will ever work as rurals need to be out by 0930 in order to complete and there is no way we will clear IPS by this time since we will have about 1/3 the number of people on it and no night SAs.

Re: New times for rurals
deliveries could be done by 3pm and the collections done after if the deliveries are already tied up and ready to go as soon as the postman gets to work. would be tight but that is the way rm works.Lounge Lizard wrote:And what about the obligation for rural deliveries to be made by 3pm ( urban by 2pm ) ?
