BTW you have my sympathy as I did 7 years in Customer |Services for a Mail Order company and its not as easy as most think, and to make it worse the pay is crap. Well done.

Spread the word a bit and I'll ask POSTMAN to start a new section if we get a few more on board. Any ideas what to call it, keep it clean though as customers come on here as well.

Yeah RM do have a customer services, its where the customers phone to complain about postmen, the colour of stamps...ask where the hell their special delivery is and everything in between!! The pay is quite good really and the job's not *too* bad!! Just gotta let the daily rants of "no wonder RM is going to the dogs" go over your head!!

Rather you than me , it's hard enough dealing with one or two a week face to face (including getting caught in the callers office) but doing it all day would do my head in

It's not too bad, you get used to it! Just glad i wasn't there when the strikes happened last year. Apparently people were telling advisors they hope their families got cancer and stuff!!

hi guys yeah there is such a thing as royal mail customer services its for our customers to call in an insult the advisor threaten them with fame ie being put on the telly, and complaints range from red elastic band dropping, gate closing, sprinting posties,not seeing a postie,to the more recent i demand my mail even though there is a blizzard and of course we have the genuine calls which we do our best for but then there are also in office problems like lack of training , and dthe amount of excuses there are for avoiding having to apply a headset and do the job youre paid for to people rolling in late all the time , that said i do actually enjoy my job but hate the whingers who get paid for doing very little

hooray thanks for the vote of confidence, heres the latest gripe we sign on using the Rm telset git, i couldnt log on as git telsett wouldnt work correctly so being a good little minx i reported fault to line manager guy , however for that week i was logged as being late through no fault of my own so had tantrum on floor and demanded it was corrected and it worked , and guess what 2 of my customers actually sai d i was good to talk to and they were pleased to listen to me so hang in there guys we are loved and doing a good job. now lets hope that my computer doesnt adopt the git mode
