I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

About 70% of my section have two days mail prepped into their frames sitting there waiting for us in the morning to be added too. They tried to make us go out on delivery today but most refused after the dom had told us we wouldnt be getting paid for Thursday as we were sent home at 7:30am. Though if we went out in our cars and got two days mail done, didn't book any o/t, we would get paid for thursday, joke. Can't wait till the morning to turn up and then blow it out! Or better still spend 6 hours in the office prepping letters into a frame that can't possibly hold anymore mail. woooo I love job!!!!

Funny you put that. As for the people who couldn't make it in, they will be offered annual leave or special leave lol. Did all the dom's have a dossier put out this morning! The final bit makes me laugh the most though, as our union rep stood beside him when he delivered his little huddle and stood there nodding his head accordingly. The rep then went out on his delivery, leading by example in blizzard like conditions. I am glad to say about 80% of the office stayed behind though. Useless C*+t.

we have some rounds which have not been out all week and alot of rounds have not even touched any packets.
There is mail everywhere in trays because it will not fit in the frames and people queing up at the back trying to get there mail and packets. Also there is some specials which have been in the cage for 3 or 4 days.

We only sorted a little mail today so got out early with about 1/2 a walk (although some took all their mail.)
It was ridiculously icy and with the piles of snow I was out for around 3 1/4 hours.Got back to the office to find a big row going on with a temp. manager who wanted everyone back early to do ips.
We had had no break and had busted a gut all week to be repaid like this.He was basically told to shove it and most left.Monday could be interesting.

Did my delivery today by 12.25pm not too bad to start with no wind no blizzards sun was shining brightly not too cold.
Snow was very hard under foot but not slippy as hadnt turned into frozen slush yet, by the end of delivery the slush was starting to appear and no doubt will freeze over tonight. Hopefully that will be gone by Monday otherwise it will be very very slippy under foot.
If only householders would get off their backsides and clear the path imediatley in front of their property then if all of them did it the pavements would be a lot safer for delivery posties.

No backlog of mail down here, not much snow either apart from Monday (which froze on Tuesday) then clear till a very light dusting this morning. We do have a packet backlog but it's probably more to do with the ineptness of RM management, too many cuts leads to poorer service.
