During our team grief / waste time learning session this week we were told that under no circumstances should there be any item of mail in the front of the van, not even the current working bundle.
Has anyone else been told this ? What are your views on this ? and most importantly, what are the unions views on this ??

It's been that way for a while now in my office, if you have to work from the back of the van then it will take even longer to do your duty and leaves you either with cut offs or overtime so it's a win win situation for you.

Loads of posts on this exact topic throughout the board but as far as I know the Union would support it. TBH if you have to keep opening 2 doors to keep the mail safe it takes you longer to do it, this gives you the opportunity to either claim docket, or if unwilling or unable, to cut off as per local instructions. In the long run they would have to put hours in and perhaps create more employment. Oh and yes AFAIK everyone should have been told this, or DO certainly was.

We've not had a WTL session since before xmas, and when I asked about this, I just got blank looks, I might have to push this a bit, as we're having georoute pushed through at the moment.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:
