You don't, not the exact words but perhaps the spirit. :hmmmm

Never heard of an official or even unofficial one, although personally I will always do my best. Do you have any links to this ethos/reputation though it would be nice to be able to research it.

What would you like, some links to local press stories of how a postman got through snow-drifts to deliver the mail?
Can't help with that, but I'm sure there'll be some along in the next day or so.

Yes and I'll probably post them. But you intimated our reputation is to always get the mail through, I just wondered where you got that idea from as even today people where surprised that I was delivering. Mind you as you compared us to 12 year old paper girls, perhaps I just should put this down to more Engineers humour, that apparently, I don't get.

From X number of years of media stories of mail being delivered in difficult conditions, maybe? Snow-drifts, floods, whatever; even the Courier carries them on a regular basis.

You're looking for a slight that isn't there. Thankfully my papergirl, like the postie, got through with no problem.
