Received our new uniforms today. Tried mine on tonight. YUK. All miles too big and makes me look like a sack of S**t.
Will be taking it into work tomorrow to go back and order a size smaller.
Although I could look on the bright side. I am now a size smaller LOL.
mine came last week, some of the items very tight fitting, loads of us at work will have to send back due to not fitting, don't know why they cannot send a sample of each size, style so everyone can try on first and then they know they are ordering the correct size. Would save a fortune.
Have been on Annual Leave for a week, but received an e-mail from the Operations Manager telling me my new uniform would be there waiting for me tomorrow.
At the age of 49, I fully intend wearing whatever they send me, no matter what the size, or the gender it's designed for...
25+ people in my office, so you can imagine how much space all those boxes took up! A mixture of some fitting and some not. We are never going to make it onto the fashion cat-walks, but it is not bad for nothing, and saves us raking out our own stuff. Let's hope they go back to the usual 2 year replacement cycle, leaving it for so long did no-one any favours.

what a stupid coment if you like to look like a sack of sh*t it's your perogative but i dare say some people take great pride in how they look and are not ones to be degraded by an illfiting uniform that they have to wear to face the public day in day out even though it's free (and so it should be) not a lot to ask is it !!!!
working for RM for nearly 2months and still not received any part of the uniform.
i rang the uniform hotline and they goes it been sent, i asked my dom and he goes he's only had bits and pieces.
only wearing a high viz on top of my clothes.

Ah, so you work for RM eh? Well perhaps you should look at the title of this bit of the forum, as this is the Post Office section of the forum. Have you seen our new uniform? I don't think it is bad for nothing, and mine fits quite well. As for Royal Mail uniform I have no opinion as I do not know what it is you are supposed to wear anymore. In fact judging from the RM operatives who deliver to my house and clear my office it would seem that anything goes, which is perhaps an indication that the supply problems you mention are widespread. My Dad was a Postman in the 70/80's and in the early days he would be sent home if his uniform wasn't 100% spot on. Times have changed.

Have now got replacements in correct size and it does look quite nice. Saying that not all of it has arrived. No Jacket or cardigan yet but we are to start wearing it this week. Have been told to wear my own cardi or jacket (which I don't mind) but think that defeats the object of having a uniform at all.

Why is it ill-fitting? There is an opportunity to exchange anything that doesn't fit, and if you are a really strange shape there is a 'special-measurement' form. You don't have to settle for the first size you get.
That what I said before, why not send one set of all sizes out, so people can try on first, cheaper then sending loads back. As for people being strange shapes, even if you buy two items different styles but same shop they will not fit the same, you may need a smaller or bigger size. Its not a case of stange, I think you mean standard.
Yes but it takes forever to get the replacement garment and when it arrives it's not a gauranteed fit so the process starts again but of course were not all the perfect shape like you bigjames

Perhaps they are meant to be worn at chest height ala Simon Cowel
