THE Royal Mail group has shown itself to be both cynical and blasé to the needs of its customers by embarking on a brutal regime of closing post offices, many of them a lifeline in the rural communities of Scotland.
Now, in an attempt to show that it cares, it has recruited TV presenter Lorraine Kelly to spearhead the People’s Post Office Awards, in which customers can vote for the best post office. This makes two rather startling assumptions: first, that it has any customers left who would fall for such a crass stunt and, second, that they can find a post office still open.

wheeling out the " Paisley Pig " , before that it was old Joannie ( True Blue Tory there ) , ageing Boy Band Stars & Post Office Ken for adverts in a Sub Post that had already been closed down and turned into a Bathroom shop . The Crown Office had also been closed down and people had to troop down to WH Smith's basement . It's also " coincidental " that a ex RM senior manager went to WH Smiths .Geezer wrote:http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Articl ... 2?UserKey=

We can all rest assured that the SPO stayed open at Westminster
Sounds like a RM Senior Manager has given a advertising agency work at great expense .
Who are they going to use next ? Jeremy f***ing Kyle , Trisha Goddard ?

It used to be Garry Bushell who called her the Paisley Pig - his geography must be a bit out !jockthearab wrote:Lorraine is from East Kilbride
Apparently there might have been a bit ? of word play - I believe Paisley Pigs are either ceramic pink ornaments or textile designs , popular in the States .
To be fair Gary is no matinee idol either , I have looked on Google Images , there are pictures of " The Screen Goddess " that though very funny , couldn't possibly go on here
