Be Afraid the Robots are coming

Meet Postkun, Japan’s cutest mini postman robot

I don’t know when and if mankind will ever get robotic postmen but I am sure that if, they will come from Japan, just like this mini robot recently presented by Tokyo-based company Kyosho [JP].

The little guy is called Postkun (Little Postman) and will be only available in Japan from the end of February to the middle of March as a limited edition (only 10 units will be produced). It can move in 30 different ways.

Postkun costs $3,500 and is - of course - Japan-only. The robot is technially based on Kyosho’s Manoi PF01, another mini humanoid the company developed two years ago (see it in action below).

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

THE THREE RULES OF ROBOTICS. By issac asimov

A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

im sure royal mail would have their own interpretation.

If thats a challenge:

1. A Manager may not injure a postie through inaction unless it ensures that the clear office policy is adhered to.
2. A Manager must protect his empire and bonus whatever the costs, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A Manager must protect his own position, and those of all managers above and below him as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy

Its a joke.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

You missed the 4th law of Robotics - although its not Issac Asimovs

4. A robot must activate its red LED when disregarding the First, Second, or Third Law.

Apparently this applies to HAL9000, Cylons and Terminators :left: :left:
