POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a crash involving a Royal Mail van and a tipper-type lorry.
A postman had to be cut free from the van by firefighters after the collision at the junction of the sliproad on to the A500 southbound and Stoke Road, Stoke.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with non-life-threatening injuries after the incident at 11am on Thursday.
The lorry driver was not injured.
The slip road was closed for about an hour while officers conducted an investigation.
Any witnesses who have not yet come forward are asked to contact PC Mark Poultney at Longton police on 0300 123 44 55.
