Re: When was the last time you washed your Van
Whilst my vans filthy ( except lights Number plate etc ) paying £6.95 is taking the p, Thats almost an hours wages for a postman, come on your only giving the bean counters ammunition. If you can get your van cleaned every time you fill up I'm sure the basic wash would more than do. I'm really surprised your DOM hasn't pulled you up over it. All over the country the powers that be are trying to save 10% across the board, walks are disappearing there's pressure on us every day and you're doing this, come on

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We get a few like that at my place. But you really should see the inside of some of the Artic trailers. They make that look clean!POSTMAN wrote:This is a 600 that was down our place the other day, there's a nasty rumour that it is red!!

Re: When was the last time you washed your Van
Been on my current van duty for 12 months now in thaqt time its been washed twice (by me) both since november we have a pressure washer and it only takes 15mins to do (OT of course, bet I would not be allowed to do it again if they new they paiud me to do it extra) May be thats why its the onloy van in our office that gets washed. I even clean inside each month, I hate working in a mess.

Royal Mail Could loose it's operators Licence ( Heavy goods vehicles and vehicles over 3.5T gross ) for vehicles in this state, part of the operators licence requirements for most companies is that as well as being roadworthy they also have to be reasonably clean. My vans dirty but nothing like the 600 in the picture. Royal Mail should be ashamed.POSTMAN wrote:This is a 600 that was down our place the other day, there's a nasty rumour that it is red!!
