Me too. I find it laughable they are telling me how well they are doing and how much they have grown in value. I bet they will plummet in value when it come to the time when we can cash them in

These colleagueshares are a red herring anyway. If we accept them we cant benefit for at least 5 years and with Crozier/Leighton and their cutbacks how many of us will be left. At best Adam and Al are being disingenuous and at worst its fiddling the books so they don't have to give us a decent pay rise for 5 years.

What's the betting that for 4 years we'll be doing so good that it will be exactly as they say and the dividends will be excellent. Then surprise surprise in the final year they value shoots down and they don't have to pay quite as much as we were expecting.

The share price is going up every year on the fact that we lose staff and duties every year.

 Funny how, according to my letter anyway, we are doing so well. But we have been told that between 12-18pct has to be cut from our office next year?

Heres the scenario..................

1. Share in success price continually rises over the next 5 years.
2. This share price goes up because we lose staff and duties therefore maintaining profits.
3. In 2 years time 40,000 staff have left because of jobs cuts etc.
4. Crozier saves £1300 X 40,000 = £52million
5. Crozier walks away with about £4 million bonus.
6. Royal Mail now called TNT Mail. :mfo

4. Crozier saves £1300 X 40,000 = £52million
Where did you get the £1300 from?

Surely it should be nearer £13000.

Well I worked it out on the fact that its about (for me) £1280 at the moment and its going up by about 17 pence a year. Where did you get the £13000 from???

40,000 staff removed, their wages at an average of £13,000 would equal over 1/2 billion

Think they means £1300 Share value rather than the wages saved. As I believe you lose any phantom shares if you leave Royal Mail before you can cash them in. PS totally agree they'll be next to worthless when we can cash them in & it will be put down to us not being flexible enough re modernisation ( which seems to really mean redundancy on mass )
