MP on warpath
Jan 14 2009 by Belinda Ryan, Crewe Chronicle

CREWE and Nantwich MP Edward Timpson has launched a blistering attack on Royal Mail management following Monday’s walkout by Crewe workers.

In a letter sent to Royal Mail’s chief executive Adam Crozier, Mr Timpson blamed the walkout on “deviation from the agree- ment, coupled with Royal Mail’s inability to communicate with workers constructively and respectfully”.

And he reminded the Royal Mail boss of the company’s Dignity and Respect at Work campaign.

“To my mind the worst aspect of the Crewe Mailcentre’s situation is not technical or even business-related. It is the fact that these hardworking staff are not treated with the respect they deserve,” Mr Timpson said in the letter.

“Royal Mail should swallow some of its own medicine and give these workers back their dignity by managing and consulting with them in a respectful manner.”

I'd forgotten about that dignity and respect at work - I don't remember any meetings lately - come to think of it the daily huddle seems to have gone astray too or maybe it's become the 6 monthly huddle or were we the only ones who had that?

MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

There's never any time to have 'huddles' in my office, of course there's never any light days, there's only normal and heavy (or finish on time and cut off :Very Happy ).
