Re: Manager delivering cut-offs in own Car
In relation to your first point - I would have to think long and hard first and address each case on its own merits - then I would shop them to their Manager first then the Police if there was no improvement.rowdogg wrote:why would anyone want to ring the police in order to get their manager the sack or arrested...bit over the top in my book. why not concentrate on your own job rather than trying to cause other people sh .it...im sure you'll say well my magaer gives me sh.it so why not.........
Why:
1. Its official CWU Policy - see the LTB earlier in the thread.
2. If they have no insurance they are committing a crime.
3. Managers by rights should have higher standards for themselves, not lower than what they expect from their subordinates.
4. In the end it could be my mail that gets stolen from his car when he leaves it on display.
5. It could be me or my car that he collides with and if he has no insurance ????

And in all honesty even if as an individual, said person had a word with said manager, do you honestly think it would make a blind bit of difference to said manager?rowdogg wrote:i accept your points but if it was me and i was that bothered i just have a word with the manager himself regarding it. each to his own though
As all outdoor posties will know with regards to INTEGRITY OF MAIL we are specifically advised by Royal Mail that any mail taken out on delivery in RM fleet vehicles should be securely contained in the rear of the vehicle and not in plain sight of joe public on the front passenger seat.
"Today’s workplace has become heartless and soulless. Employees are seen as units of labour, automatons, functionaries, objects for achieving designated tasks, and as costs to be minimised."

if anything , if someone did shop that manager to whoever , RM would probably twist matters on it's head and say the manager was being harassed or a complaint was made in bad faith ?brothermagrew wrote:And in all honesty even if as an individual, said person had a word with said manager, do you honestly think it would make a blind bit of difference to said manager?rowdogg wrote:i accept your points but if it was me and i was that bothered i just have a word with the manager himself regarding it. each to his own though

Re: Manager delivering cut-offs in own Car
Just lately there has been an extensive cover up of dogy doings. I suspect to keep a good public profile while we were meant to be loosing money. If they have succeeded in that what chance have posties got.
