This is total rubbish! A bonus for getting rid of full time staff?? This would not only be immoral I am sure it would also raise some legal issues. Many on here have a low opinion of DOM,s but this is honestly a joke if anyone honestly thinks we get a bonus for using the conduct code. The conduct code is supposed to be used to correct unaccepatble behaviour and only in a reasonable and justified occasions are staffed dismissed with rare exceptions.

Speaking of a rumour that is not a rumour but is fact as i saw an email that my old DOM had that sick stage warnings down in my part of London being issued had fallen below a certain % and that it had to be upped!!

with rare exceptions - everything is so top down and regimented - bound to be underhand with the pressure - there's managers complaining about being glorified office staff - problem is middle management - the british disease - " Senior Management lacking the expertise to run a postal operation " - The Hooper report - not the Socialist Worker

We do get a copy of the percentage of stage warnings issued, there is no target in my area, each Manager deals with them on merit.

I did say London tbf.

Anyways,why you getting league tables/percentages or what ever you want to call them,what would be the purpose of that?

And as for the bit i've highlighted,not in the mood for a row about that statement!!

then there's the mandatory conference calls for humiliation - I've read stuff about :lfo at ASDA which is a bit " on the edge " - please take pity on your poor DIM/DUM

To be fair - New Labour are quite partial to that culture in the NHS & Education - and it's been such a resounding success
