:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle I'd like to know what reduction in mail, we're under such strain at the moment that I think the office is going to collapse :chuckle :chuckle of course it doesn't help that our sick rate is now running at nearly 20% (not including those on rehab).

we've started lapsing on Wednesday, I was off yesterday so don't know if my duty was lapsed or not. I think from memory of summer / autumn / winter lapsing seven posties should take around 20 mins from my duty, today only one did as he was quiet. Seems RM management want lapsing to be a permament feature. My union rep though isn't happy about it so not sure if CWU has sanctioned it in any way. Going by last year I don't know why they are expecting a fall off in mail, we've got more holiday brochures to come, catalogues etc etc then it will be Valentines day then easter, oh I forgot according to Mr Hooper they're all using txt messaing instead now aren't they. I would have thought my bags would be lighter with all these txt messages I'm carrying

:nana Be warned. When bosses talk of lapsing duties, they give the impression it is a trial run- and if it doesn't work things go back to normal!!!Ha. A number of our duties were lapsed last year(Supposedly for 12 weeks)-guess what? Yes, We are still covering them. THe worst thing is, the extra parts are normally nowhere near your own duty.
It is total madness trying to get every thing arranged, and so far. Srangely enough, we do not seem to have extra time allocated to do this, it is just lumped in with our own walks.
Conned again!

Oh dear! are the doms getting withdrawal symptoms or maybe they don't know what to do with the excess of doms.
They were the ones delivering in the summer and dare say they will be the ones delivering if it gets brought in again, I say sack em and take more posties on full time!
