What gets me though, is why no-one (including myself) thought of that earlier.
Only problem is more than once over Christmas letters kept coming to our DO because the MC read the address on the back of the envelope, though it was clearly marked Sender and was on the opposite side to the stamps a couple even turned up three days running despite a circle in crown being put round the correct delivery address, in the end the dom scribbled out the senders address and that was the last we saw of them. The letters not the DOM unfortunately.
get that with some international items as they often put the senders address on the front
just have to put two scores through the senders address
yes I had a special to deliver and guess what was only when I went to the door I realised that the sender had put there own name and address larger than the recipients that I realised they had paid £8 odd for us to redliver her special item back to her next day. I chapped the door explained that we had made the error and luckily she was very understanding, helped that it was more for value than next service she needed. I agree that the poster should put there name and address on the back but it does open up a can of worms for cock ups unless it's done like recorded are. Which brings me to another point has anyone noticed the increase in recordeds without the senders details on them ?

MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.
We have made it far too easy to post a letter - we should have a machine based postal system whereby you put the letter item to be posted in a slot it sizes, weighs and tells you the cost - you put the dosh in and the letter is swallowed, you don't put the dosh in and it spits it out. If the business is going to be successful it must move away from the parochial approach, forget criticism from the press and public and go for it. If you went to a market stall and it said "Oranges 25p each" you take one orange and give 25p you get a bunch of grapes which says "2.20p per kilo" you don't give the guy 2.20 for the bunch because it may not be a kilo so you have it weighed of course.
So educate the punters into realising that it is not one price for all anymore - it's PIP AND for my money go the extra mile and start charging over distance as well.
