Not at all, you simply reconise you cant have debate with opposing views.

Personally I think it would be dreadfull if the mix of opinion on RMC became too small.

Aggree, but there's too many snidey remarks and chasing going on,from both sides of the fence!
Threads are being spoilt and going off topic too much, just look at this one.

We WILL clamp down harder if it spoils the board.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

i thought this was a great thread, not a lot of info in there regarding Bridgewater, but hey !!! when you have greatly opposing views you are always going to get the odd snide remark. i doubt whether the likes of Mr Tman and NT will ever change their views after reading my posts .

No, but then political views and viewpoints are built up over a number of years, and are unlikely to be changed by reading posts on an InterNet forum, unless someone's really easily swayed.

Didn't realise anyone was here to change the world or be preached at, though.. :no no

Preached at -
Now I don't think anyone is "preaching at" as opposed to discussing their is a difference. To me Preaching at is when you are in a discussion with someone of an opposing view, but the "preacher" is unwilling to concede points, talks over (bit hard on a forum) or ignores parts of the others arguments that don't fit in with their perception. I don't think any posters on this thread are guilty of that no matter which side of the argument they are.

Borders and T'man I deleted the "snidey comments" post and the 2 replies as well. Also a reminder if you see a post you think breaks the rules then do not respond to it but use the report feature. I ask this for 2 reasons.

1. It stops threads going off topic and therefore ruining it for other members.
2. It makes my job and other Moderators Jobs at lot easier. I am a walking postman so I don't want to work hard at home as well :Boo hoo! :Very Happy :left:

Blimey, lighten up.
I was generalising to the extremes; I'm sure posters don't come here to "change the world" either. Do they?
