Obviously a very serious story..........but what if I demand Habeus Corpus? Has it been reported in the national media, as it surely would, let alone the local media. If so how long has it been in the public domain ( judging by the person in the picture named as "Bob Bashford" it can't be more than 3 years as he wears the red polo shirt ). Is no one in the MK area a member of this site? Can they back it up? Even if it was a rumour so fantastical they dismissed it out of hand?

What about this "Richard" ( surname not reported / given ) fellow? While it is possible for someone at RM to overreact ( either through mis-understandings or no logical reason ), surely someone does not overreact without some form of provocation from the other side, and yet this "Richard" was / is as pure as the driven snow, with the patience of a Saint ( does he deal with crap RM lineos everyday? ).

And added to this the implication that someone lied to get someone out of trouble - effectively they perverted the course of justice.....yet, "Richard" had a friend waiting in his car - if the friend missed the pre-amble in the Caller's Office, he could hardly fail to miss the assault by the car. Is it possible that there was a CCTV system in the RoD that recorded "Richard" behaving in such a way that his Saint's halo slipped & the police & CPS having checked the evidence decided that there was nothing further they could do to guarentee a conviction? Or was it just the great big stitch up we see in that article ( ignore the gaping holes, some of which I've pointed out ).

I presume that at this time the story remains unverified.....is it possible to contact the webmasters of the site in question and demand Habeus Corpus - or do you think they are not the sort to entertain anybody's right to reply? ( However, what they have published could certainly be called libellous if they have no firm evidence - can they be forced to provide their information under the FOI Act? )

Sorry to all the mods - just riffing on the subject ( the unfairness of the snide comments to an RM employee without the opportunity to respond, or have their innocence presumed, etc, grinds my gears ). I'm happy for this thread to be merged with the other, locked or deleted, whatever you and disgruntledpostie are happy with.

it's what goes on , the drip , drip effect when there's a run up to Privatization - it is snide and underhand , just like RM
