i agree 100% , if everybody came in on time and didnt use there cars on delivery it would f.ck em right up at our office.
not so long a go a postie at our office got the sack 4 continuing to use his car !!

I am one of those MUGS who use's his car and runs around like a muppet, i do it purely for my own ends not that it helps the managers(even if it does, that is not why i do it).

My walk is rural and......................... Why am i explaining myself to you narrow minded individuals.

i never use my car, One day someone in our office will have their car stolen while out on delivery or involved in a crash and i will be there to say i told you so.

No one is forcing anything on you,it's a discussion board.
But if you don't think that it is helping out RM then then fair enough.
But how about your office trying not to use their cars for ONE day,then come back and tell us it doesn't help out RM.

What about the reserve posties who cover for staff when on annual leave.

If they haven't got a car then the chances are they will not be able to complete the delivery inside the time span.

Royal Mail only give you third party insurance,if you are not covered for" business use" on your own insurance then you are well and truly F****D if you have an accident

Forget for the moment how Royal Fail want you to save them money and employing support drivers, how many of you car happy people have insurance that covers you for using your car for 'business purposes'. Most car insurers I know are looking for any get out clause they can find if something did happen to you or your vehicle. A screw at a Work Time Lying handed all the forms out and a few of them filled them out despite my protests.
