Re: delivery points
Because I cover several duties they can be anything from 400 to 800 but an average would be about 650

Re: delivery points
The number of delivery points on a walk is a bit of a red herring . I've only got 230 on mine compared to 500-600 on others, so in theory my walk should be a doddle. But add in the dead ground, long drives and steps and the fact that the amount of mail they get is massive and it works out I've got the second heaviest walk in the office. I wonder what the all-singing, all-dancing pegasus will make of it ?

Re: delivery points
Thats it exactly - I have one of the biggest walks in my sector 600+ but I usually get mine done on time yet one on our sector is only 210 yet they go over every day. All down to the individual characteristics of the walks.lekker wrote:The number of delivery points on a walk is a bit of a red herring . Re: delivery points
mines about 700,ive had a bit taken off and new flats built so i need to do a recount
it was 790 with the new flats and nowt taken off
all tenement flats so a fairly compact duty but most are scared of the stairs ;)
the guy who got my removed part is crying like a bitch.his duty was 2.45 max before and generally 2.15
how he's saying its 4 hours

Re: delivery points
My walk has only 225 delivery points but has alot of dead walking. The walk from start to finish measures 9-10 miles!

Re: delivery points
Pegasus measures dead walking
Its all down to the walking speed and the call rate inputted into pegasus, if the those figures were 1mph and 100% call rate we would be worshipping pegasus.
Once anybody on here has pegasus start in their office then check the walk speed matches up with RM press release of just over 2mph.
What pegasus comes up with should provide a base to fully develop delivery routes and remember its just that a delivery route tool not a indoor workload measurement tool or a tool for measuring how much mail for each house you have.
Manual development after the initial set of routes is vital for the new routes to have any chance of success.
Oh and were still waiting for the 1.7% attendance call rate to be updated as its too low especially when you have panniers to fit larger items in.
