So how long is your delivery?

Post by lew1275 »

Hey All!

Im almost certain that there's got to be a thread on these forums regarding how long someone's route/delivery is. If not, it would be nice to get an idea of what you lot are doing compared to me?

Just spent two weeks on a round with 650 drop-offs, plus another 100 odd for doing this other persons streets over xmas grrr! A good portion of this were multi-drop boxes for flats. Spent like 5 hours outside! Back on my usual round now, got 450 drop-offs, all individual houses/businesses. Still takes ages!! :d'oh! :mad

How 'bout yours?

consistently over 3 .5 hrs averaging around 4 hrs.a few years ago when we got out earlier you were able to absorb the extra time but as we have got out later this isnt possible anymore ,so from 2009 will work to my time it is after all a two way street.

About 4 hrs for me, as long as I don't get too many packets/ recorded items to knock for.

Normally takes me about 5-6 hours to deliver but then I usually cover rurals and have a van.

:nana mine has been over four hours for nearly two years now---even the floaters hate it--plus when they changed the walks prior to that,I was left with a couple of streets for someone else's walk on my frame, so extra prepping up too---

Mines anything from 4hrs to 5hrs (750 delivery points) which includes all my parcels after that I have parcels for another round to do. Normally a 5-6hr day on the road. By the way I'm only part time 5 hours a day and there's prep time and break time to add before the above. And my boss wonders why i get pissed off when I want to finish early. Sorry not early on time. I sometimes do an hour over time (book it of course) and still cut off to get finished now I can't say fairer than that. But in my bosses eyes that's not flexible enough. Bollocks to the lot of them and they wonder why I do the job properly now.
