Clear office today?
Only 1st class and dated went today as there was so much, plus touch and go whether all the packets will go.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Clear office today?
Clear office here...sort of.
A bit miffed at the management who promised an early finish if we came in at 5am. Went in at 5 and told to do sorting and then told the drivers would be leaving at the normal time instead of 830am. I cut off and told the manager its 'cause i would be finishing an hour early as I came in at 5am. Face like a bezerker but f**k em...

Re: Clear office today?
That was the feeling at my DO as well. If RM had made Tuesday a banger and today light they would have got some kudos for it. But no instead of pushing as much as they can through Mon-Tue - it all lands on the frame on Wednesday.Ricky Bruch wrote:Got cheated today TBH,
To say we were promised a shorter day as volumes were expected to be down RM soon found enough skymags & catalogues to keep me busy with 8 bags worth to deliver.
I reckon if you add Mondays and Tuesdays together it was still would have been quieter than today.

Re: Clear office today?
We had a relitively easy day in our office today and all mail given to us was delivered and got finished on time, first time without cutting off for months. Its a shame we have a stack of yorks full of mail/sky mags labelled not to deliver before 29th. Ain't that wilful delay of mail, managers should be up on conduct charges, we would be if it was us holding back mail.

I was sent out to a SPDO to cover a walk that had'nt been completed yesterday, so I had yesterdays/todays mail to clear and the specials from yesterday that were left
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

We had stacks, still had to book docket, I've booked more this xmas, than I have for at least 5 years. Be interesting to see what kind of spin RM put on it, I expect we delivered less according to them, of course packets have been through the roof, again crap forward thinking, not enough vans - duh, perhaps they thought some of the pkt people had their own sleigh's?

Re: Clear office today?
That was the heaviest Christmas, packet and Special Delivery wise , that i can remember but we have cleared everything .
We had two go off sick today which did stretch things a bit ,(office of @42 staff) so when i finished at 8.00 am ,(on nights midnight till eight am) me and the other night worked till 11.00 clearing the packets.
Don't expect much gratitude for it and didn't get it,just know that all the prezzies in our office have been cleared.
