Stage 3 Deliberations Letter

Post by Stormproof »

Received a letter off my DOM today, stating his judgement on my Stage 3 interview, the following is a quote from the 2 page deliberation.
Trust is fundamental to our business. When customers put their letters, packets or money in our hands, they expect us to provide them with a fast reliable, safe and courteous service. They are putting their trust in us. If we expect to stay in business, we have to show them, every day, that we deserve that trust. We all know how let down customers feel if at any time we fail to live up to their expectations. And there are other firms they can go to if we let them.

We exist to serve our customers by given them timely, reliable and secure performance of services.
To be honest I'm not quite sure what to make of that
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

I take it he isn't too bright? There are a number of grammatical errors and although I presume he means that you cannot give a service if you aren't there it's a little convoluted to say the least. :hmmmm

it's all to impress somebody even more incompetent up RM's chain of command -

Everything is based on tick lists and RM questions that require the desired RM answers - , which could be boiled down to all this target culture cr** about letting the side down etc and the trust is fundamental bit in English is a long winded way of saying that you are swinging the lead ! :d'oh! and lacking commitment to RM

It also means in plain English that I should have given that person the sack for being unreliable but we are frightened that if we did , that person may give us trouble -

I'm not getting at you personally - it's just that I've learned to read between the lines with RM B/S they're like Politician's answers .

I suspect it's been put in this vague and obscure way deliberately -

If the DUM has typed two pages of verbal diarrhea/ management speak out , it's because he has to justify not dismissing , that's why most people are given warnings or sacked to avoid paperwork .

Why Trust is Good Business
Trust is fundamental to our business, and this Code is all about putting it into practice at work. But why is it so important?

Maybe if they actually had a few people spare like they did when I started in the 1980`s,then they would be able to cover the walk when people are off sick instead of giving `overtime`to the docket rats who get everything going as they are managers pets, then their `precious`customers would get their mail at a decent time and not tea time like they do now. :cfo
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

so all a DIM needs to do is cut and paste into Word all that convoluted and long winded stuff from Standards and everything is singing from the same hymn sheet on Planet RM .

RM have always tried to sneak team working in through the back door - it's not a case of the Union being dinosaurs - 1 . RM are not to be trusted end of 2 . Their perverse version of team working is divisive and destructive to sideline the CWU
