ATOS rottweillers!!
They make their own rules. Over-ride GP's. Rude and aggressive in all cases. They know better than the doctors even though they've never even seen me. Anyone else have horror stories of ATOS?

I lodged an official complaint with Atos, and got an apology. the worst thing is their phonecalls. If you are not in to take the call, and they do not leave a message or return phone call number, how do you know they have phoned?
if you do not reply within 7 days, you have to be referred again. Many times I asked that they leave a message on my answering machine-- this they failed to do, and when you press callers, all I get is you were called at such and auch a time, we do not have the callers number!(They are supposed to phone 3 times with a ten minute interval in between the calls, this never happened)so the whole process toke months instead of weeks to complete!
I just wonder if they are paid for each seperate assessment?

if there is contradictions with all the underhand petty politics - people outside RM can draw their own conclusions - that " advisor " was obviously looking for brownie points - a very shoddy & amateurish outfitstokes11eg wrote:rebel wrote:They make their own rules. Anyone else have horror stories of ATOS?Oh. yes!I had already had an assessment(complete with company Doctor) in my favour, then I had another assessment with an 'Advisor who tried to overule everything thar had been agreed--i had to end up going through the whole process again.Another face to face with the doctor, who agreed with the first favourable report.

Found out on the internet "search Royal mail Atos" that they are now on incentive bonuses to FORCE people back into the workforce. No longer do they care about the long term health of the postman - just get him/her back into the the office - then they get their bonus. Sod you if you cripple yourself. they will get their bonus and don't give a toss about you.

proves how corrupt the company is , RM can't even control the company they are using to do their dirty work for them as they are being taken to the cleanersstokes11eg wrote:rebel wrote:Found out on the internet "search Royal mail Atos" that they are now on incentive bonuses to FORCE people back into the workforce. as for a OHA trying to overule one of their own "doctors" to screw another fee out of RM to try and get brownie points , if a HCA or lower grade nurse pulled that stunt in the NHS , she/he would get the sack .

Royal Mail extends occupational health contract with Atos Healthcare
10 January 2008 13:14
Royal Mail has extended its occupational health (OH) and welfare services contract with Atos Healthcare for another three years.
Atos Healthcare has been delivering OH services to the organisation's 185,000 employees since 2002, where it has helped to reduce absenteeism in the Royal Mail letters business.
The new contract incorporates a risk-reward model, with Atos Healthcare being incentivised to help Royal Mail further cut staff absence.
Atos Healthcare will deliver a full range of services, including a round-the-clock employee assistance programme, sickness absence management, pre-employment screening, driver medicals, health screening, vaccinations service, and progammes to educate and inform staff about health-related issues.
Steve Boorman, director of corporate and social responsibility at Royal Mail, said: "The co-operative and collaborative way the two organisations have worked together to make improvements has been a particular success of the current contract.
"We will continue to set high targets for Atos Healthcare to remain competitive and achieve our business objectives," he added.

Re: ATOS rottweillers!!
it is on the edge legally , sick notes are only for National Insurance and DHSS purposes so any firm can use somebody of " equivalent rank " to overule a NHS doctor / consultant / specialist .Ricky Bruch wrote:What gets me is how RM can legally use a company to try & over rule a fully qualified doctors diagnosis, not only that but it would be cheaper to pay the doctor to see his notes on your condition.
If they think they are soo dam good then lets all just go see them when we are sick & RM can foot out prescription charges instead of seeing doctors who have studied for years to get where they are.
RM say only ATOS are qualified to judge on what you can or can't do as only they apparently know your job not your GP or higher . If you are under a consultants / specialist's care at a hospital - the ATOS Doctor is "miraculously" suddenly promoted to Consultant or Specialist on the ATOS paperwork .
They also work on the basis that you have a "good " doctor even though most NHS doctors would be prepared to stand up in court over that sick note .
You've also got the DUM's and SM's that are experts in medicine
RM only hears what it wants to hear

Basically the way they work is brutal - we were told by a very ambitious but not the brightest acting manager " Our Nurses and Doctors can overrule your GP and we will have some work out of you ."Ricky Bruch wrote:Amazing all that /\/\/\/\norbert wrote: it is on the edge legally , sick notes are only for National Insurance and DHSS purposes so any firm can use somebody of " equivalent rank " to overule a NHS doctor / consultant / specialist .

RM only hears what it wants to hear
And they can do this all over the telephone with what I must pressume is some form of *remote viewing* capabilities![]()
So basically in a nutshell RM & ATOS are saying is that all our doctors are liers
I would love to see them tell my doctor his diagnosis was wrong
RM and ATOS work on the basis of something not going wrong if you were press - ganged back to work and not putting a liability claim in , the only other duerecourse you have is 1 . Take RM and /or ATOS to a Tribunal if covered by the DDA acts , ATOS can get RM to stop your wages for unauthorized absence .
2 . Report the Doctor or Nurse to either the British Medical Council or the Nursing / Midwifery Council , in the NHS they pay subs either to the BMA or RCN for representation and also indemnity insurance .
3. See a ambulance chasing lawyer off your own bat on a no win / no fee basis or see if Simpson / Miller will take legal action for the CWU
If you did take things outside the PO , RM would see you as a loose cannon , somebody they'd want rid of .
The CWU were very gullible in signing up to all this - RM do not go by the spirit of the agreement and the goalposts will be moved .
Google complaints against ATOS Origin - first three results are " interesting "

Re: ATOS rottweillers!!
i think its pot luck who you see at atos ,i had a so called doctor from atos who asked me if i had an operation for my hip replacement or did the hospital do it another way. at that point i walked out and went back home, yet when my wife had an appointment with atos regarding an injury to her knee he actually showed her the correspondence from her dom who was asking atos if he could ignore stages 1,2,3,and go straight ahead and dismiss her for time off work, his comments to my wife were , royal mail seems to want us at atos to fast track employees out of the business, rather than help them return to work

I googled up on complaints to ATOS. It must be some company when even one of their own Doctors have to be signed of with stress for blowing thw whistle!!!!!!
And if I am resding things correctly, Royal Mail paid them500MILLION pounds for a seven year contract-----
Amazing all that /\/\/\/\

The Midland headquarters of a firm which processes applications for incapacity benefit awarded "erroneous" claims to meet Government targets, it was claimed yesterday. http://www.meassociation.org.uk/content/view/520/70/
Recently, UNI affiliate LBC/NVK of Belgium, published an open letter to the Atos Origin CEO and Senior VP
Human Resources, complaining about violations of labour law and collective agreements by the Belgian Atos
Origin management. http://www.union-network.org/uniibitsn. ... .08_en.pdf
Too often evidence from the Atos Origin doctor is preferred over other evidence supplied by practioners who are more familiar with the applicant's condition. Better use could be made of evidence from applicants, the people providing them with health and social care, and the applicants' carers.
The administration and quality of medical assessments by Atos Origin still needs to be improved
The 2 above quotes are from : http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/what_t ... or_ordered_
My Atos doctor couldn’t access my records on the computer, didn’t require my GP’s input, didn’t have my surgical records or notes from the cardiologist. The whole assessment took nearly 15 minutes. But it was worth it I’M CURED HOORAY. My congenitally deformed heart and 20per cent permanent heart damage no longer exist, I must have dreamed those heart attacks – all of them. http://www.ukwatch.net/article/welfare_ ... _into_work

'Hard work' that i am now incapacitated--not laziness----I still do not see how an annonymous 'Advisor 'on the end
of a phone can make these decisions.
